cm grieder
Christopher ‘Kit’ Grieder lives in Falls Church, VA. Many years ago, he graduated from Metropolitan State University with a degree in Industrial Design and an avid interest in art and design. After several years of working at everything from advertising design to contract management, he set working life aside and became a free man, able to concentrate on growing things and creating art.
His love of everything green and growing informs his particular bent on his artistic sensibilities. Patterns, textures, light and shadow draw him in and pull the artistic ideas right out. He works in digital media, using photos to start the process that results in abstracts, as well as unretouched photography and mixed media drawings. His work is aimed at filling the visual senses with patterns of color drawn from nature, to fill the brain with nature’s elements of art. When he’s not working on something creative, he’s either out puttering around the yard, or maybe drinking wine poolside.
Here you'll find his art pieces and some of his photography pieces. Most works are available as giclee prints on canvas, either stretched on a wood frame or rolled up for stretching. Some works can also be printed on watercolor paper, with an upper end size limitation.
See something you like but want your own one-off creation? I'm happy to work with you to create something that meets your needs.
